People to Know

If one is fortunate, one runs into quite a few good people along the path of life.  I have been blessed with meeting, or of conversing with some damned fine people over the years.  Here are some links to some of the best.

Knight of the Green Cloth

This is the site of and old friend.  Lafitte taught me most of what I know about gambling in the Old West.

Paul Cool

Another western author.  Mr. Cool wrote what is probably THE book on the El Paso Salt War.  He has several other books in the works, and I am looking forward to them.

Sheriff Jim Wilson

I’ve know Sheriff Jim for years.  Good lawman, and avid shooter.

Jimmie Daze Comics

Jimmie has created the independent comic book: “Hell Paso”  I have linked into the site where you can purchase them, plus get a first  look at these interesting comic books. More on this later.

Ken Hudnall

While Ken specializes in the paranormal, strange and unusual, he does have a expansive knowledge of El Paso area history.

Texas State Historical Association

These folks created the Handbook of Texas Online.  Great organization covering all facets of Texas History.

Caravans West

Peter and his crew make a living BEING the old west. They did the wardrobing and props for such movies as Tombstone, and Rough Riders.  TV buffs might recognize Peter from one of his early TV series.  He was the first live action Friendly neighborhood web slinger.
